Procrastinatedon is Nate Don’s art practice. An ordinary object or familiar place can become the starting point for a project: a painted line on a coastal path, or one grain of sand given a gallery.
White Line Therapy extended for roughly two kilometres at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, in 2024. The World’s Greatest Grain of Sand changes the scale: a small grain inside a shipping container converted into a gallery.
The current work asks visitors to enter, press a button and look. Fifteen seconds later, the room goes dark. Repeat viewing is available. The title makes an extravagant claim; the visitor gets to decide what to make of it.
You have observed n grains so far.
